Alzheimer’s Jamaica is a registered member of Alzheimer’s Disease International. The work we do to help improve the quality of life of persons living with dementia and their loved ones in Jamaica is made possible with your kind support. There are three ways in which individuals can get involved in our work:
Become a Member:
Members are who we depend on for regular input and support. This is done via occasional online surveys which will inform the work we do.
Members also receive a quarterly Alzheimer’s Jamaica e-newsletter to keep abreast of how their support is making a difference.
Members are entitled to a 5% discount on all paid workshops hosted by Alzheimer’s Jamaica.
Our membership fee is a mere $3500.00 JD per annum; or $25.00 USD per year. Click here to sign up.
Become a Volunteer:
Volunteers are vital to the everyday work of Alzheimer’s Jamaica. They help us with our hosted events, education campaigns, administrative tasks, and generally with accomplishing our goals and objectives for people living with dementia and their carers.
Individual donations of more than $25.00 USD or $3500.00 JD automatically qualify the donor for annual membership. Our next annual report (due September 2019) will be published online for transparency in how your contributions are used. Your donations help us to educate and support Jamaicans in urban and rural communities about dementia and dementia care. They also help us to engage health care professionals, caregivers and policy makers to work together to improve the quality of life for persons living with dementia.
